    Since 2001 I have been the Chairman of the International Symposium entitled Joint Preserving Minimally Invasive Hip Surgery held in Quebec City (2X), Montreal(3x), Los Angeles (2x), Ottawa (2x) and New York City.  From this Symposium I have edited and/or co edited several book monographs and special issues in Orthopaedic Journals (Orthopaedic Clinics of North America(x2), Clinical Orthopaedic and Related Research (x2), Journal of Arthroplasty) on the subject of Hip Surgery, representing a total of over 100 peer-reviewed articles with latest issue being published in our top level orthopaedic journal, American Volume of the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery.

  • Optional Personal Statement: Dr Paul E. Beaulé is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in joint preserving and minimally invasive hip surgery. After completing medical doctorate and residency training at University of Ottawa, he pursued his fellowship training at University of California, Los Angeles and University of Southern California. Currently, he is a professor of surgery and head of adult reconstruction unit at the University of Ottawa and the Ottawa Hospital. He is an active member of multiple organizations dedicated to basic and clinical research of the hips, including the Hip Society, the International Hip Society, and the Academic Network for Conservative Hip Outcome Research (ANCHOR). He is a recipient of several prestigious awards, including the William H. Harris Award, and the Hip Society Aufranc and Charnley Award.
