Sarah Ziegler Co-Founder, Vice President of the MHE Research Foundation and its National Director of Research. Her son now 19 was diagnosed with hip dysplasia 18 months of age as a result of Multiple Hereditary Exostoses and underwent bilateral hip surgery osteotomies at age 6 and is still affected by hip dysplasia. In 2009 Sarah served as a delegate during the Bone and Joint Decade World Network Conference and Patient Advocacy Seminar and elected as co-chair of the USBJD Rare Bone Disease Patient Network. Ms. Ziegler has been honored by the U.S. House of Representatives with a Certificate of Recognition, by the New York State Assembly with a Certificate of Merit, and by a New York State Senate Legislative Resolution for her long standing advocacy efforts. She recently relocated to Florida with her husband and son.
