Hello everyone, my name is Chelsey. Growing up I played travel softball and had severe popping in my hips bilaterally. When I was 12 I was taken to the Dr. where they told me I had “snapping hip syndrome” and needed to run more. That’s exactly what I did. Fast forward at age 16 I could hardly walk without falling when my hips would pop/catch. I stopped travel softball and lived in constant pain.

At 20 I started working full time as a Phlebotomist and was coming home in tears from the pain. Being up on my feet all day was killing my hips. I went back to the Dr. and was diagnosed with bilateral congenital hip dysplasia. Wow how my life changed drastically in such a short period of time. I became disabled and my quality of life changed for ever. I’ve now had 4 hip surgeries on the right hip and still haven’t started on the left.
